For this sound project I feel inspired by John Cage to create something that makes the audience question what they are listening to. I am going to strive to make my 'song' feel unsettling and chaotic. I will use a lot of different sounds that give off different tones to accomplish this. I think I will use sounds that are beautiful and soothing juxtaposed with sounds that are annoying, harsh, or in general not as interesting to listen to. I hope to create for the viewers a feeling of wonder and curiosity after listening to this track. I also like the idea of being unsettled by a piece of art. It makes one think about the deeper meanings and ideas of the artwork. There is no specific place that I want these sounds to take you. Possibly a place of unsureness and uncertainty, but I can't promise that. We will see how it goes. There are not that many files in the sounds folder that are actual music, so this will be interesting to create. There are a lot of harsh, random, and silly sounds that are included in this shared sound folder, which will help my project greatly. Possibly another feeling besides unsettling that the audience can get from my finished project is humor or silly randomness. I am inspired by sounds of classical music, home sounds, and passing sounds of the outside world. I think combining all of these can make a quite interesting composition. Hopefully this will lead to a confusing composure of sounds.
